Description
Bolts to the frame. Almost no modification.
This is the easiest tank in the lineup to install. It bolts into existing frame locations on the GX550, so you are not drilling into a brand new truck to get 18 more gallons out of it.
Everything stays where Toyota put it
KDSS keeps working. Factory air ride stays. Class 4 receiver hitch stays. The tank sits above the bumper line with the factory evap system intact, so your approach and departure angles are unchanged and the install is reversible.
Fills from the factory neck
Both tanks fill at once through the stock filler. A programmable transfer switch and fuel level gauge move fuel forward and monitor it from the cab.
Colorado built and altitude proven
1/8 inch 5052 aluminum for corrosion resistance and impact. Helivue has run these from 5,000 to 13,000 feet without failure. Side corner pickup lets you fill a friend when someone gets optimistic about range.
