Description
The arm that takes the hit
Lower control arms are what find the rock first. Steel arms bend and stay bent. These are machined from 7075 T6 aircraft grade billet aluminum, a memory alloy that flexes under load and returns to shape instead of taking a permanent set.
Why 7075 T6
Stronger than DOM tubing, harder to bend, and roughly a third the weight of steel. It will not corrode, and billet machining means true threads and tight tolerances instead of weld distortion. Less unsprung weight also means the suspension reacts faster over washboard.
