P0420 & P0430 Fix for Toyota 4Runner V8 (2003–2009) — 90° O2 Sensor Spacer

P0420 / P0430 Fix for Toyota 4Runner V8

Running headers or a Y-pipe on your 4th gen 4Runner 4.7 V8 (2UZ-FE) — or just dealing with aging factory cats — and now you've got P0420 or P0430? This is the most common CEL on modified 2UZ trucks, and it's exactly why we make this part.

The Fix: 90° O2 Sensor Spacer

The Brockett Built 90° O2 sensor spacer threads into the downstream O2 bung and moves the sensor out of the direct stream so the ECU stops flagging catalyst efficiency. CNC-machined, M18x1.5 — direct fit for Toyota downstream sensors.

  • The 2UZ V8 has two banks — you need two spacers. Grab the 2-Pack V8 Kit.
  • 10-minute install per side; clear codes and drive a readiness cycle.
  • Downstream sensors only — never upstream.

FAQ

Does it fit the V6 4Runner?
Yes — the 1GR-FE also uses M18x1.5. Count your codes: P0420 only = 1 spacer, P0420 + P0430 = 2.

Legal note: designed for modified/off-road use — check local emissions laws.
