Description
The Aggressive Cat-Back is the loud one for the MQB Mk7 and Mk7.5 GTI: a hand-built 3" dual-exit cat-back that keeps just enough silencing up front to stay livable, then opens right up out back. It runs the same front end as our Stealth system but deletes the rear muffler for a bold, aggressive tone with real bark on throttle. Fully TIG-welded, argon back-purged 304 stainless, built to order.
Originally a Baun Performance design (GTI Jake). This is the same aggressive cat-back formerly built by Baun Performance, now hand-built by Brockett Built.
The sound package
- Mid-pipe section, Vibrant 17950 resonator. A 3" resonator up front smooths the note right off the downpipe.
- Center muffler section, Stainless Bros 3" thin oval muffler. Mounted mid-chassis, it takes just enough edge off the mid-range to keep it street-livable.
- Rear section, straight-through dual exit, no rear muffler. Deleting the rear can is what makes this the aggressive system: a bold, open tone straight out to the tips.
Why this cat-back
- True 3" dual-exit system. One continuous 3" path from the downpipe connection all the way to the tips.
- Jones double-wall 4" tips (optional). Slant-cut, laser-etched Brockett Built logo, clamp-on. Choose Without Tips if you'd rather run your own.
- 304 stainless, TIG-welded and back-purged. Clean, fully fused welds inside and out: no flux, no porosity, no rust-through at the joints.
- Bolt-on. V-band and clamp connections, factory hanger locations, no cutting.
- Lifetime warranty. Same as every Brockett Built exhaust: if a weld or material fails, we replace it.
