Description
Brockett Built Tube Fixture — Adjustable V-Block Tube Spinner for Welding Positioners
⚠️ LIMITED STOCK — NEXT BATCH IS 6 WEEKS OUT. We have a small number of units on the shelf ready to ship today. Once they're gone, the next production batch is approximately 6 weeks out. Orders placed after the current stock sells will ship in the order they were received when that batch lands. If you need one on the bench this month, order now.
Spinning tube by hand is where good welds go to die. The Brockett Built Tube Fixture mounts to your welding positioner and turns tube and pipe on a true, repeatable axis so you can lay a consistent bead all the way around — one pass, one setup, no re-clamping, no stopping to reposition.
What makes ours different: the adjustable V-block
Every other tube fixture on the market uses a fixed V-block. Fixed means it only does one thing — hold straight tube, dead center. The second you put a bend, a mandrel section, or a pie cut in it, the part sits off-axis and wobbles as it spins. Your bead wanders, your torch distance changes, and you end up chasing the weld around instead of laying it down.
Ours moves. The V-block pivots and slides independently of the clamp, so you can grab an odd-shaped part wherever it actually needs to be held and still bring it back to a true, centered axis of rotation.
That means:
- Clamp on a bend. Hold a mandrel bend mid-radius and still spin it true — no more cutting a straight section just to have something to grip.
- Clamp on a pie cut. Short, angled segments lock up and center, so you can rotate a pie-cut joint under the torch for a clean, uniform weld all the way around.
- Center anything. Off-round, out-of-spec, or already-welded assemblies — the V-block adjusts to the part instead of forcing the part to fit the V-block.
This is the whole reason the fixture exists. A fixed V-block handles the easy 20% of your work. The adjustable one handles the other 80% — the bends, the pie cuts, and the awkward parts that were costing you time and re-welds.
Holds up to 4" tube
Most tube clamps on the market top out around 2". This one runs the full range from 1" up to 4" OD, plus schedule pipe — so the big exhaust and header work you've been fighting by hand finally has a home.
Capacity:
- Round tube: 1.0", 1.5", 2.0", 2.5", 3.0", 3.5", 4.0"
- Schedule pipe: 1-1/4", 1-1/2", 2.0"
Built for maximizing efficiency
It's a production tool first. Built for shops running exhaust, roll cage, headers, handrail, and pie-cut work who need parts out the door faster without giving up weld quality.
- Engraved size index with detented positions: Every tube and pipe size is laser-engraved right on the body, and the scalloped slots lock the clamp at each one. No tape measure, no eyeballing, no test fits — slide to the size, lock it, weld. Setup is the same every single time.
- Quick-adjust lever and knurled thumbscrew: Change tube sizes in seconds instead of chasing bolts with a wrench. Less setup time per part means more parts per shift.
- Sliding double T-handle: Even clamping pressure from both sides so the tube stays centered on the axis of rotation and doesn't walk under heat.
- Post mount with quick-release fitting and pass-thru: Mounts straight to your positioner's chuck and lets long tube pass through the fixture — no length limit on the part you're welding.
- Clear-anodized aluminum with stainless hardware: Handles shop heat and abuse without corroding or galling. 4.4 lbs, so it won't overload a small positioner or fight you during setup.
Every feature exists to cut setup time and eliminate re-work. Faster size changes, hands-free rotation, and repeatable centering mean cleaner welds on the first attempt, fewer parts scrapped, and real throughput gains on repeat jobs. If you're welding tube all day, this pays for itself in saved hours.
🔧 BUNDLE & SAVE 10% — AUTOMATICALLY. Add any second tool from our Tooling lineup and 10% comes off your cart at checkout. No code needed. Pair it with the Brockett Built Flange Welding Fixture and save $100 on the two — same positioner, different job. The Tube Fixture spins tube and pipe; the Flange Fixture holds and purges 2-bolt, 3-bolt, V-band, and turbo flanges. Most shops running one end up wanting the other.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes an adjustable V-block better than a fixed one?
A fixed V-block only centers straight, round, in-spec tube. Ours pivots and slides, so it centers bends, pie cuts, and irregular parts on a true axis of rotation. If your work is all straight tube, a fixed block is fine. If you cut pie sections or weld bends, a fixed block fights you on every part.
Can it clamp pie cuts and bends?
Yes — that's what the adjustable V-block is for. It grabs short pie-cut segments and mandrel bends and still centers them so they spin true under the torch.
What size tube and pipe will it hold?
Round tube from 1" to 4" OD in half-inch steps, and schedule pipe in 1-1/4", 1-1/2", and 2". Every size is engraved on the body with a detented slot position, so you set it once and it repeats exactly.
Do I have to re-center it when I change tube sizes?
No. The detented slot positions hold the correct center height for each engraved size. Slide, lock, weld.
How long a piece of tube can I run in it?
Any length. The pass-thru opening lets tube run straight through the fixture rather than bottoming out against it.
Is this the same as a tube clamp?
No. Tacking clamps hold two pieces in alignment while you tack. This is a rotation fixture — it mounts to a powered positioner and turns the part under the torch so you can run a continuous bead all the way around without stopping.
