Description
0.75D Tight Radius Elbows, 1in to 1.88in and 4.5in to 6in: 3D Printed Stainless or Aluminum
When there's no room for a mandrel bend, these fit. Every elbow has a 0.75D centerline radius, tighter than a standard 1D or 1.5D mandrel bend, so you can turn a tight corner without building a stack of pie cuts. Each one is metal 3D printed in one piece.
Pick your material
- 316L Stainless: for exhaust. Welds to 304 or 316 stainless tube. Body wall is 0.049in, with a 0.065in weld band running 0.30in along the bend at each end.
- Aluminum (AlSi10Mg), cold side only: for intake, intercooler and charge pipe. 0.065in wall throughout, to match 16 ga aluminum tube.
Never use the aluminum elbows on exhaust. Printed aluminum loses most of its strength above about 200°C (390°F), far below exhaust gas temperature. For anything on the hot side, choose 316L stainless.
Built for fabricators
- 0.75D centerline radius: the radius is 0.75 times the tube OD.
- No straight legs. The bend runs end to end for the tightest packaging.
- Butt weld ends: 0.065in wall at each end, made to butt weld to 0.065 wall (16 ga) tube of the same OD.
- 45, 90 and 120 degree bends in 1in, 1.25in, 1.38in, 1.5in, 1.63in, 1.75in, 1.88in, 4.5in, 5in and 6in OD. 180 degree bends in 1in to 1.88in and 4.5in.
- Looking for 2in to 4in? See the 0.75D tight radius elbows, 2in to 4in.
- Bead blasted finish.
Dimensions
Center to end is the distance from each end face to the point where the two tube centerlines meet, the number you lay out from. A 180 has no center point, so its size is given as the width across the U and the depth from the end faces to the outside of the bend.
- 1in OD: 0.75in centerline radius. Center to end: 0.31in at 45°, 0.75in at 90°, 1.30in at 120°. 180°: 2.50in wide across the U, 1.25in from the end faces to the outside of the bend.
- 1.25in OD: 0.94in centerline radius. Center to end: 0.39in at 45°, 0.94in at 90°, 1.62in at 120°. 180°: 3.13in wide across the U, 1.56in from the end faces to the outside of the bend.
- 1.38in OD: 1.03in centerline radius. Center to end: 0.43in at 45°, 1.03in at 90°, 1.79in at 120°. 180°: 3.44in wide across the U, 1.72in from the end faces to the outside of the bend.
- 1.5in OD: 1.13in centerline radius. Center to end: 0.47in at 45°, 1.13in at 90°, 1.95in at 120°. 180°: 3.75in wide across the U, 1.88in from the end faces to the outside of the bend.
- 1.63in OD: 1.22in centerline radius. Center to end: 0.50in at 45°, 1.22in at 90°, 2.11in at 120°. 180°: 4.06in wide across the U, 2.03in from the end faces to the outside of the bend.
- 1.75in OD: 1.31in centerline radius. Center to end: 0.54in at 45°, 1.31in at 90°, 2.27in at 120°. 180°: 4.38in wide across the U, 2.19in from the end faces to the outside of the bend.
- 1.88in OD: 1.41in centerline radius. Center to end: 0.58in at 45°, 1.41in at 90°, 2.44in at 120°. 180°: 4.69in wide across the U, 2.34in from the end faces to the outside of the bend.
- 4.5in OD: 3.38in centerline radius. Center to end: 1.40in at 45°, 3.38in at 90°, 5.85in at 120°. 180°: 11.25in wide across the U, 5.63in from the end faces to the outside of the bend.
- 5in OD: 3.75in centerline radius. Center to end: 1.55in at 45°, 3.75in at 90°, 6.50in at 120°.
- 6in OD: 4.50in centerline radius. Center to end: 1.86in at 45°, 4.50in at 90°, 7.79in at 120°.
What's in the box
One elbow in the material, tube size and angle you pick.
Install notes
- Weld on part. Butt weld each end to tube of the same OD and the same material family.
- The ends are made for 0.065 wall (16 ga) tube.
- Professional welding recommended.
