Stainless vs Titanium Exhaust Tips: Which Material Is Right for You
We build exhaust tips in two materials, 304 stainless steel and CP1 grade titanium. Both are welded and finished in the USA, both slip on with a clamp, and both come in straight or slash cuts with optional inserts. The material changes weight, color, and price. Here is how to choose.
304 stainless steel
304 is corrosion resistant and heat tolerant, and it is our standard for daily-driven trucks and cars. It holds a clean, show-quality finish and it is the material we recommend for diesel trucks and anything that sees salt and weather year round.
- Inlets: 2.36in, 2.5in, 2.75in, 3in, 4in, and 5in.
- Outlets: 3in, 3.5in, 4in, 5in, and 6in.
- Custom sizes from 1.5in to 6in on request.
CP1 titanium
Titanium is lighter than stainless and it holds heat color, so the tip takes on the gold, blue, and multicolor burn that titanium is known for. It is the premium pick for weight and looks.

- Outlets: 3in, 3.5in, 4in, and 5in.

The short answer
If you drive it every day or it is a diesel, go stainless. If you want the tip to catch the eye and you like the burnt color, go titanium. If you need a 6in outlet, that is stainless only.
